To mark the 25th anniversary of the release of their second album, Flood, the Japanese band Boris will play a second concert in Brno on November 16. Unlike the first concert on November 15, the second performance will feature a special set based on the albums Flood, Feedbacker, and Rainbow.
The legendary Japanese band Boris, with a career spanning more than 30 years, is one of the most progressive, heaviest, and at the same time most innovative bands in experimental music. Boris formed in 1992, and the lineup of Takeshi, Wata, and Atsuo has been playing together continuously since 1996. The band has dozens of releases to their credit on labels such as Southern Lord, Sacred Bones, Hydra Head, Sargent House, and Relapse, as well as collaborations with artists like Sunn O))), the Melvins, Uniform, and noise master Merzbow. Boris transforms classic 1970s proto-metal sounds into something entirely new and unique. Their work is often described as a game-changer on the very edge of the global rock scene, and its influence is virtually limitless.
