Nessi Gomes – Live concert in Prague

Nessi Gomes is a British-Portuguese singer-songwriter born on the island of Guernsey. Her music doesn’t try to lift you above life. It leads you straight into its heart. She writes with a quiet intensity, where beauty stands side by side with fear, where desire doesn’t demand resolution, and where even the darker corners are given space instead of being shamed.

A trace of her Portuguese roots is evident in her way of experiencing life—pain, longing, unyielding hope—but none of it is a pose. She writes to get to know herself. She sings to stay true to herself. Music has become a space where she can exist on her own terms, after years of feeling that she was caught between cultures and didn’t quite “fit in” anywhere.

Her debut album, Diamonds & Demons, opened doors. Since then, she has been sharing her work around the world, in venues both small and large, always emphasizing presence over spectacle and authenticity over pretense.
