With his huge hit 'back to friends', sombr has racked up no less than a million listens a day on Spotify. Sombr is the alter ego of Shane Michael Boose, a 19-year-old from New York. When the covid-19 pandemic struck, music became his outlet. Cut off from the world, he taught himself to produce and began recording intense indie rock tracks in which he poured all his emotions. His fame exploded in 2022 with the track "Caroline". With a huge boost from social networks, he reached an international audience seduced by his touching songs, deep voice and melancholy lyrics. For TikTok regulars, his tracks "undressed" and "back to friends" have become firm favourites. Last June, he took to the stage at the Ancienne Belgique to support Nessa Barrett.
