TSWILE.FILM Summer Tour 2026

A summer screening of the feature-length debut film by a 15-year-old director—The Summer When I Lost Everyone—is coming to Trnava.

A film evening featuring a discussion with the authors and creators of this work. An intimate story about growing up, about the relationships between parents and children, about searching for answers to life’s questions, and about one summer that stays with you forever.

The film follows 17-year-old student Lucas (Jakub Horák), who has his head in the clouds and is afraid to live in the moment. Instead of his parents, he is raised by his grandmother Dáša (Nina Kočanová). After thirteen years, he travels to the countryside to visit his estranged father, Peter (Matej Landl). Their relationship is strained, so Lucas is looked after by his father’s caregiver, Lenka (Silvia Soldanová), who tries to bring father and son closer together. However, Lucas finds refuge in a new group of friends led by Charlotte (Viktória Holkovičová), Zora (Esther Pilátová), and Matias (Samuel Klinovský). More than just friendship binds them to Charlotte. While she leaves things to chance, both are searching for answers to certain life questions. Their differing perspectives on life are brought together by fate. But will Lucas be able to find his way to his father, Charlotte, and, above all, to himself? The film’s pace is slower, but it resonates with those who can sense the emotions beneath the surface.
